Proof beyond all doubt that Andy is absolutely insane. I mean, who in their right mind would wear a shirt like /that/?*

matt ;)

*(Actually, this is /such/ a scary picture. Look at his eyes. Look. At. His. Eyes. He wants to eat your firstborn.)

There's nothing wrong with wearing shirts like that. I mean, that's what you do when you get older. ;)

Pipe And Slippers! Pipe And Slippers! Pipe. And. Slippers! Sorry, just remembered the Pipe And Slippers Song. What a coincidence!!

Not the most inventive set of lyrics I've heard.

matt:
Date: 8 Feb 2002 8:41 PM
That's because you didn't write them, Matt.

matt ;)x

nice to matt back on the website and back at his best!

Matt:
Date: 9 Feb 2002 4:25 PM
Tony: Nice to see your english is as good as ever

Matt: I'm confused about you're last comment - was that a cack-handed compliment or sarcasm?

James:
Date: 10 Feb 2002 2:55 PM
fight, fight, fight, fight...

matt:
Date: 10 Feb 2002 7:47 PM
What? There's no fighting here. Oh, Matthew darling, it wasn't sarcasm, it was meant as a compliment and, if it was a cackhanded one, that's because I lack your fearsome intellect and breathtaking wordplay.

matt ;)x

Damn you to the seventh level of HELL matt! (Thats the mingy level. Love the site) I'd only just fixed my irony-and-sarcasm-detectorama! It took its own psudo-life rather than confront your sardonic might!
*weeps*

Incidentally, Matt, don't go having a go at Tony about his English skills when you post things like this:

"I'm confused about *you're* last comment..."

Sometimes it doesn't pay to be too picky, Corder.

matt ;)x

I submit to you're (sic) mightier intellect Mr Elton.

P.S. (in an attempt to draw conversation back to photo) I don't think there is anything wrong with Andy's shirt - my grandparents used to have a tablecloth made of the same material.

Tony:
Date: 11 Feb 2002 5:50 PM
Doesn't Anne look positively radiant!

Tony:
Date: 11 Feb 2002 5:52 PM
PS wasn't that table cloth one of your shirts Matt?
;o)

James:
Date: 11 Feb 2002 6:42 PM
Or possibly a kilt?

James:
Date: 11 Feb 2002 6:46 PM
By the way, does anyone else think that Matt and matt should let other people have pointless grammar/spelling arguements? Or can we just join in theres?
(and before anyone says anything...)

matt:
Date: 11 Feb 2002 8:06 PM
Seriously, if anyone else - including Matt and me - have another conversation about spelling or grammar, I will personally come around and drive a, er, screwdriver, uh, up their left nostril. It! Is! Not! Important!

matt ;)x

E. Dan:
Date: 11 Feb 2002 9:10 PM
Giving it up for lent? Jolly good idea! Lets all aim to give up being crap to each other for the 40 days and nights or whatever it is, won't that be nice? No screwdrivers necessary! Except maybe the once with oodles of vodka in them =)
*beams*

Matt:
Date: 11 Feb 2002 9:28 PM
Tony: I don't have a shirt in /that/ particular material - I do try and pretend I have taste.

James: I have never had a kilt - for two reasons:
1) I am not one of those sily Scots who feels the need to wear a skirt
2) if I ever wore a kilt it would reveal my hideous legs

Everyone in general: Apologies for raising spelling, etc - I will try hard to control my pedantry

Matt: Why the left nostril - are you biased against right nostrils - is this a case for equal ops?

E. Dan: Nothing really I just didn't want to leave you out in case you thout I was being rude.

E. Dan:
Date: 12 Feb 2002 12:27 PM
matt: Yes, where did you get the left nostril thing from? Only its something my Dad used to say. And still does I probly. And I dont think you know him.

Matt: Being a public school Scot I had to wear a kilt every Sunday to go to chapel. Have pity, but without calling the scots "silly" thankyouverymuch. And its not a skirt. People who say that have definately never worn one and probably never seen one.

James:
Date: 12 Feb 2002 1:56 PM
Ah! An actual kilt wearer. So, did yours look like Andy's shirt?

E. Dan:
Date: 12 Feb 2002 1:59 PM
No. That would make a really crap & dull kilt. It would make a much better table cloth imho.

James:
Date: 12 Feb 2002 2:04 PM
So whats a good lively kilt?

E. Dan:
Date: 12 Feb 2002 2:14 PM
Erm, greeny-black with bits of yellow i like. Hunting-something thats called.
Yeah, anyways, kilts have lots of colours. Two-tone doesn't cut it.

James:
Date: 12 Feb 2002 2:40 PM
So what colour is your kilt?

E. Dan:
Date: 14 Feb 2002 6:34 PM
I forget. Lots of colours, and two kilts, how am I supposed to remember the compostions, having not worn either in a year and a half? Why this obsession with kilts anyhoo?

James:
Date: 15 Feb 2002 10:17 AM
I dunno, just... They're kilits! And you actually had to wear one. Still, not as bad as what I had to wear in junior school. (painful memorries)

E. Dan:
Date: 15 Feb 2002 10:45 AM
Worse than a kilt? Unless it was leather and studded I very much doubt that. Still, killts can be fun sometimes...

matt:
Date: 15 Feb 2002 12:15 PM
"...not as bad as what I had to wear in junior school. (painful memories)"

Ooh, what did you have to wear? What? Tell me tell me! Was it a cardigan?

matt ;)x

Matt:
Date: 15 Feb 2002 1:21 PM
..or perhaps you had to wear a boater and one of those nice blazers?

E. Dan:
Date: 15 Feb 2002 1:45 PM
Cardigans are IN, boaters are something I've never heard of and blazers I had to wear all through high school. But it wasnt a nice one. No, they were crappy blue ones. I much prefered the tweed jackets. No really, this actually happened!

matt:
Date: 15 Feb 2002 2:02 PM
Boaters are hats made of straw. They ming. You had to wear a tweed jacket? How comic!

matt ;)x

James:
Date: 15 Feb 2002 3:28 PM
Matt (matt): I had to wear a uniform embarressing beyond belief. And will not divulge that information on a public forum. Especially as there are photos somewhere. Well, I could be persuaded... Oh, and Matt (Matt): I didn't have to wear a boater, it was much, much worse.

James:
Date: 15 Feb 2002 3:31 PM
Oh, and it wasn't a tweed jacket either. Relative to kilts, I suppose its up to you to decide.

E. Dan:
Date: 17 Feb 2002 8:04 PM
Ahh, but we cant decide if we dont know what it is, can we?
I have sworn never to wear a badly fitting grey tweed jacket again. And there are no photos this side of the border, so gnaah.

Seldo:
Date: 18 Feb 2002 12:21 AM
My school uniform involved a sky-blue shirt-jack and khaki trousers. Could you really have had it worse?

Why *do* school uniforms always seem to have been designed by colourblind monkeys?

James:
Date: 18 Feb 2002 5:44 PM
OK, it was:... standard "British winter sky" grey shirt, blue stripeyish tie and big duffle coaty thing. If a coat was needed. Really bad, however, were the compulsory year-round-even-in-sub-zero-temperature-shorts, the cap (think Just William) and the knee high grey turnover socks with garters. /cringe/

E. Dan:
Date: 18 Feb 2002 6:07 PM
Awwww, that must have been absolutely adorable!
Better than mine anyway. grey tweed, charcoal trousers (long, but it /was/ high school) ghastly bluey tie. We weren't allowed interesting hair either. And my primary school uniform was brown and yellow. Ick.

Comedy school trivia: boys at my school weren't allowed to wear earrings, but a "test case" revealed that if you'd injured your ear, you could of course wear a bandage over it. Result: people piercing their ears, classifying said piercing as an "injury" and wearing a small band-aid on their ear all day, until the second they left the school gates, at which point they tore it off to reveal the earring underneath :-)

Schools are so dumb.

E. Dan:
Date: 21 Feb 2002 1:45 PM
Wasnt really an issue at my school. Shave your head and you were in big big trouble though. It was boarding school, so instead of getting suspended you got "gated", as in you couldnt leave school. Ever. Untill it grew back that is. And maybe not even then.

Seldo:

I just realized we haven't heard from Matt C in a while... what's up with him?

*checks comedy website*

Hmm, it's blue now, but still essentially the same, so that rules out that he's locked himself in his room trying to engineer a website update, as I would do :-)

Matt:
Date: 22 Feb 2002 4:41 PM
Ah it's nice to know someone's noticed my absence.
I have been working on my website after downloading one of those new-fangled web designing thingys. The random colour change yesterday was due to me testing the new website in the background.

The redesign is now up and running (www.mattcorder.freewebsites.com) there's not much actually new contemt wise although I have added the word and person of the week section. I'm going to try and add some content later.

P.S. I must object to the rem "comedy website" much of my blood sweat and tears have gone into the site.

Matt:
Date: 22 Feb 2002 4:43 PM
P.P.S. Obviously I haven't litterally put blood, sweat and tears into the site, that would be disgusting and would probably damage the computer.

Seldo:
Date: 22 Feb 2002 5:25 PM
Your blood sweat and tears are evidently causing a problem anyway. Error 404.

Will:
Date: 22 Feb 2002 9:02 PM
You can't get a 404 error when you're requesting the root document, surely? This is a 403 which apparantly means 'Forbidden' according to my webmaster book. The website says "The web site you are trying to access either does not exist or has been terminated for violating our policies". As far as I know that's the correct URL, so which policies have you been violating then Matt? Did they find your /porn directory or something? ;)

Will:
Date: 22 Feb 2002 9:04 PM
I thought for a sec that Matt had a nice new design (i.e. not like mine!). Then I realised it was the error page!

Matt:
Date: 23 Feb 2002 11:13 AM
I've loaded the page again and it seems to work on my computer.
